2 Week Doctor Appointment

Today was Carters 2 week check-up and he is doing so great!! He weighs 8.6 pounds and is now 22 inches long! His head circumference is 14.5 inches. The doctor is really pleased with his weight gain and said he must really like what his momma is giving him and we agree! Haha He said everything looks great and he is a very healthy boy. It was really nice to hear. Carters hair is starting to thin a little bit since his head is getting bigger, but there still is a lot on there. Today I tried styling it in a faux hawk and at first it looked really cute, but then he fell asleep and it got a little smashed so it doesn't look as good. In the beginning he liked to suck his thumb and claw his eyes out with his fingers as he sucked, but he's starting to get the hang of closing his fingers into a fist and then sticking the thumb in. It makes me feel a lot better :) He's still sleeping really good at night and eating every 2-3 hours. He is also starting to make a lot more noise...not crying, just cooing sounds and manly grunts every now and then. His eyes are working together a little better now so he's not going cross eyed as much. The funniest thing he does is his grunts when he's pooping. We just laugh and laugh at the faces he makes and the sounds coming out both ends. It's very entertaining! We still can't believe he's already 2 weeks old and how much he's changing everyday but it's a good thing and we're enjoying every minute!
