life.

Well our lives have changed quite a bit in the last week or so...I officially started my internship and I'm there for about 4 1/2 hours a day. Mark is in school and working about 30 hours a week. I'm not a huge fan of my internship and I absolutely hate leaving Carter. It's so hard for me and I know it's hard for him. He always has to get woken up in the morning and one nap or another is always cut short because we have to load him up in the car and take to the next babysitters. Almost every time I drop him off at Amy's or Dri's, he cries for me. Then when I get back, he looks at me and starts crying again and his eyes are saying "mom, why did you leave me?" It's like the worst feeling ever. I don't think I have questioned staying in school more than I have this passed week. He just seems like a different baby, a sadder, grumpier baby and I don't like it. In fact, I don't like it so much, we've begged for the assistance of my sister Kenzie to com live with us so she can watch him. And the best part is, she's agreed to it! We couldn't be happier to have her living with us. She's such a great sister and Carter absolutely adores her. I will feel a little less of a crappy mom knowing that my baby is safe at home with my wonderful sister getting back on a schedule again and feeling comfortable in his own home. I will also feel better because I won't be shoving my child on some other mother who has her own child to take care of. Although I do have to say I have FABULOUS friends. They are so willing to help me and my family and they are so supportive of our decisions. We truly are SO blessed. Anyway, sorry for the boring post, it's just been on my mind lately and I thought I'd write all my feelings down.

p.s. Here are some recent pictures we got taken:

hmmm...

Me: My stomach hurts.
Mark: Are you pregnant?
Me: Ha. No.
Mark: If you were pregnant would you drop out of school?
Me: YES!
Mark: I hope you're pregnant.

haha who would've thought?!

Sledding!

Today we had a wonderful afternoon of sledding! It was Carter's first time going and he didn't seem too interested. But we had fun anyway :) Here are some fun pictures and videos from our afternoon.

Ouch.

It would probably be best to start this story from the very beginning...we have this entertainment center that has doors on it and one of them doesn't stay on. So usually we end up taking it off so carter doesn't pull it off and hurt himself. Today was one of those days. Mark stuck the door on top of the entertainment center and thought it was safe up there. Carter then came along and decided to shake the flood lamp that's next to the entertainment center. While shaking the lamp, it hit the door which then came crashing down with the corner landing on Carter's head. It was then followed by screams and tears, a little blood and eventually smiles. Don't worry, we did all the things Aunt Katie asked us to to make sure he was alright...Has he vomited? nope. Are his pupils the same size? yup. Is he acting normal? yup. We're good :)

As you can kind of see, the goose egg was about the size of a quarter. It was very sad.

We sure hope he learned his lesson-don't shake the floor lamp.
(Also, you can click on the pictures to make them bigger so you can see the damage done)

Rub Dub They Were Playin' in the Tub

Carter and Juliet were having trouble getting along...but once we stuck them in the tub together, they set aside their differences and had a blast!

10 months

Yesterday Carter turned 10 months old. I weighed him today and he's 20 pounds! He loves tearing the house apart, eating lots of food, giving hugs and kisses, yelling, and almost walking.

Christmas Update

Alright, here are the pictures I got from Christmas morning...

Here is my awesome husband with his beautiful guitar that I gave him and picked out for him for Christmas :) I guess I really am the awesome one, not him. hahaThis is what the living room looked like Christmas morning...it was PACKED with people. Here is Carter opening a cute little mailbox that his grandparents gave him.I look hideous but Carter looks cute in his Utah State shirt that his Uncle Brad and Aunt Katie gave him. Here he is opening a present...his face represents his attitude very well. He wasn't really interested in opening his presents which was ok with us since we didn't really get him a lot. He would kind of pull on the wrapping paper and then he was over it and look at what everyone else was doing.

Mark really is an awesome husband. He got me so many great gifts...like a brand new ipod nano with the touch screen. It's so cool. He also got me some work out videos, which may seem rude but I asked for them because I want to gain some muscle and the dr. told me that work out videos would be good for me. My parents are also pretty awesome, they got us a kitchen-aid which I have been wanting since we got married. I am very excited to get home and use it :)

This Christmas was such a great one. We really are so blessed. We love our little Carter and the joy he brings to us daily. We have such wonderful family members and friends. We love you all very much.

Before Christmas Update.

Here are some pictures that have been taken while we've been at my parents:
